Maude Audet is an authentic and sensitive artist, carving a path in the Quebec artistic landscape that reflects her own image. With her soft, velvety voice, she creates songs as she aspires to the grandeur of everyday life, delicately weaving the stories and poems that dwell within her into her melodies. A singer-songwriter deeply involved in all aspects of her art, she is recognized for a folk sound that floats between contemporary and vintage, inspired by life and emotions.

Building on a decade filled with sincere and well-received achievements, Maude Audet confirms the relevance of her artistry. After her first three albums—Nous sommes le feu (2015), Comme une odeur de déclin (2017), and Tu ne mourras pas (2020)—she ventured for the first time into an English-language project with Translations (2021), which brings together adaptations of her most notable songs. Then, driven by an inspiring experience, she co-produced the ambitious orchestral folk album Il faut partir maintenant (2023) alongside her collaborator Mathieu Charbonneau, a role she continues to embrace in her subsequent releases.

Prolific, she has released several notable singles and mini-albums along the way: a cover of the classic Illégal, Christmas songs, the EP Chansons pour toi, and other titles yet to come. In February 2025, she released Blue Tears, a collection of three new English-language songs. She then devoted the remainder of the year to creating her next album.

Through her work, Maude Audet has received consistent recognition. She was nominated at the ADISQ gala in the “Alternative Album” category and won the Lucien Award for Folk Album of the Year in 2018. Her album Tu ne mourras pas earned her another GAMIQ nomination in 2020, followed by a 2021 GAMIQ win for “Folk EP” with Les sessions de mai. In 2023, ADISQ recognized her in the “Contemporary Adult Album” category. In 2025, she again won a GAMIQ award for “Folk EP” with Chansons pour toi.

On stage, her albums are brought to life through tours across Quebec and numerous appearances at major festivals. Surrounded by her fellow musicians and the stage designs she creates, her intimate universe unfolds. On screen, her voice has been featured in the series Léo, Prendre le bois, Inspirez Expirez, Three Pines, and the feature film Il pleuvait des oiseaux.

Today, after having deeply explored orchestral arrangements, Maude returns to her roots with Les joues usées. On this touching song about emotional vulnerability, she expresses a more candid poetry than ever, over delicate and pure music. This release marks the beginning of a new era, highlighting a modern, vibrant, and sincere folk sound—a promising sign of what’s to come.
