Mara Tremblay was born on July 21, 1969, in Hauterive, the very day humanity set foot on the Moon. Early on, she took to Quebec stages as a musician alongside Frères à ch’val, Nanette Workman, Les Colocs, and Lhasa de Sela, before carving out her own path.

Since the release of Le chihuahua in 1999, which earned three Félix Awards, she has established a distinctive signature where poetry, vulnerability, and intensity converge. From Papillons to À la manière des anges, including Tu m’intimides, hailed as one of the most significant albums of the past 25 years, Mara Tremblay has continually reinvented herself.

Her album Uniquement pour toi reflects a renewed sense of freedom, thoughtfully exploring the passage of time, love, friendship, and mental health. Today, drawing on this rich and daring journey, Mara Tremblay is currently in the studio, immersed in the creation of her next solo album.
